Sierra Streams Institute

A watershed monitoring, research & restoration group in Nevada City.  They promote scientific knowledge and stewardship of the Sierra watersheds through research, restoration, education, and community science.  They started in 1995 as “The Friends of Deer Creek”, a tributary of the Lower Yuba River.  They have grown to become an important voice in the regional scientific community.
